WARDROBES

In an attempt to make a fully modular, completely glue and screw less wardrobe system, I have been making and perfecting a few wardrobes in different materials. I like using spruce plywood from Wisa, as they use a high proportion of wood based glue which means the finished product is more sustainable and emits fewer VOCs than traditional plywoods.

The manufacturing process involves little to no handwork, as it relies heavily on CNC machining, and even sanding is done with large belt sanders. This allows for submillimetre accuracy, which translates to strong joints and sturdy, stable structures.

So far the only screws are in the door hinges, which I envisage to continue using. The drawers run happily wood on wood.
